How much weight is your chick allowed to put on?

I recently bumped into a chick I used to work with, and the first thing that struck me was that she was probably 20kg heavier since I last saw her. She is an attractive lass, don’t get me wrong, but the 10 x 2 litre coke bottles of “extra” she was now packing was seriously noticeable and had me wondering – just how much weight gain is acceptable, when you’re in a relationship? We are into 3 months of hardcore winter, now, so how much additional weight gain is deemed OK, before summer rolls around and the red wine and second helpings of winter grub, show? What are we going to let our chicks get away with? Are we even allowed to have a say? You know how touchy-feely chicks can get about their weight.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a “gym bunny” missus. I’m lucky in the fact that my wife doesn’t actually put on much weight at all and out-eats me just about every time we sit down for a chow. I guess she is just lucky like that (got that super fast metabolism gene thing).

The fact of the matter is that you might be one of those guys who married (or is dating) a bird who simply puts on weight at the thought of eating a twinkie.

So, is 5kg enough to live with? Is 10kg still ok? Can you live with a 20kg weight gain?

The truth of the matter is that when we you can barely recognize the woman in your wedding photographs and the likeness to Honey Boo Boo is so startling you are considering having your wife sign up as her double “just in case Honey Boo Boo gets written off in a pick up truck accident after her 14th Budweiser), you know you could, or should, have said something sooner.

And while we are on the topic of acceptable weight gain in a relationship, don’t think for a second that your boep you are nurturing is doing you any favours. It cuts both ways china. Keep knocking back those beers and eating like it’s your last meal and wait how long it takes before the little sexy time you get, turns into no sexy time at all. You don’t want a heffalump on your arm, and I can guarantee you that your wife isn’t looking to show off hubby the hippo at the next work do.

Get your wife to call you out, and do the same when it comes to weight gain.

So how much weight gain is acceptable in a relationship? Participate in the poll below and stand the chance of winning a year’s worth of celery sticks (just kidding)

Anything between anorexic and obese is fine, no more and no less. Specifying a kg is difficult, obviously if she is borderline anorexic then 20 kg’s may be fine, but if she is closer to obese the 20 kg is… dammmmn!

normally her gaining weight is partly on you not giving support in ways that get her not to feel like food know what i mean?

I’m with you on that one Joey. Provided you still wake up in the morning and find the missus sexy, you can forgive a few extra pounds, right?

Well the question was how much is she able to put on, not what is acceptable weight currently… so if she is a rake, then 20kg is fine, if she is closer to hippo then 0kg is best 😀
